The Hughes Family has a long and proud tradition in the transport business. Since 1827 we were active in canal transport. Originally operating as Hughes & Son we changed our name to Thomas Hughes & Sons in 1857.
Now nearly two centuries later in 2014, we at Des Hughes & Sons are maintaining our family tradition, albeit with a more modern form of transport. The great great great grandson of the founder, Des Hughes continues to offer the same level of commitment and value given by the Hughes family throughout the centuries.
